Sarah O’Farrell is a Madison, Wisconsin based artist and educator whose work explores the overlapping realms of memory, place, nostalgia, and human-animal relationships. Recent projects view these areas through a cancer survivor's lens.

She earned her MFA in Printmaking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017. Sarah has received Chicago Artists Assistance Program (CAAP) and Albert K. Murray Fine Arts grants, has work in the Skidmore College Permanent Art Collection, attended the 2016 Horse and Art Research Program in Barnag, Hungary, and was a featured artist in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Visiting Artists’ Colloquium in 2017. Her sculptural piece, Skin Horse, received the 3rd Place award in the 2018 Wisconsin Artists Biennial at the Museum of Wisconsin Art, West Bend, WI.

 

Sarah has taught college-level book arts and continuing education printmaking courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Madison College.
